Everything about your Cheer My Run subscription is handled by the store you bought it from, the Apple App Store or Google Play. That keeps your payment details with them, and it means cancelling takes about a minute in your store settings. This page walks you through it.
First, how did you subscribe?
On an iPhone or iPad. You paid through Apple. Your receipt came from Apple, and the charge on your statement reads “Apple.com/bill” or “APPLE.COM/BILL”. Follow the iPhone steps below.
On an Android phone. You paid through Google Play. Your receipt came from Google Play, and the charge reads “GOOGLE *Cheer My Run” or similar. Follow the Android steps below.
Not sure? Open the Cheer My Run app, go to Settings → Manage subscription. It shows your plan and the store it belongs to. If you switched phones, the subscription lives with the store account you used originally.
Cancel on iPhone or iPad
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone (not the Cheer My Run app).
- Tap your name at the top, then tap Subscriptions.
- Tap Cheer My Run.
- Tap Cancel Subscription. If you do not see it, the subscription is already cancelled or belongs to another Apple ID.
- Confirm. You will see the date your access ends.
The button opens Apple’s subscription list directly. You can also go there from the App Store app: tap your photo, then Subscriptions.
Cancel on Android
- Open the Google Play app.
- Tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
- Tap Cheer My Run.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
Make sure you are signed in to the Google account you used to subscribe; a subscription is only visible from that account.
What happens after you cancel
You keep Premium until the end of the period you already paid for, and you will not be charged again. On the day the period ends, the app returns to the free plan. Your account, races, cheers and favourites stay; nothing is deleted.
Changed your mind? Before the period ends you can turn renewal back on in the same store screen. After it ends, subscribe again from the app.
If you cancel during a free trial, Premium stops at the end of the trial and you are never charged.
Refunds
Tell us first. Most refund requests we see come from something we can fix quickly: Premium not showing, a duplicate purchase or the app not loading. Write to support@cheermyrun.com and we will sort it out or help you with the refund.
Because Apple or Google took your payment, only they can refund it. We cannot see or reverse store charges ourselves, but we will gladly help you with the request.
Apple. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple ID used for the purchase, find the Cheer My Run charge and choose “Request a refund”. Apple usually answers within 48 hours.
Google Play. If it has been less than 48 hours since the charge, use the Google Play refund page. After 48 hours, contact us and we will look into it with Google.
Where the consumer law of your country gives you a right to a refund, that right applies regardless of store policy.
Change your plan
You can switch between weekly, monthly and yearly plans in the same Apple or Google subscription screen; the store shows every plan available to you. Upgrades usually take effect immediately with a pro-rated charge; downgrades take effect at your next renewal. Prices shown in the store are the ones that apply to your country.
New phone, or Premium missing?
Your subscription is linked to your Apple ID or Google account, not to your phone. On a new device, sign in to the same store account, open Cheer My Run, go to Settings → Manage subscription and tap Restore purchases. Premium comes back within a few seconds.
If it does not, check that the store account on the new device is the one you paid with, then write to us with the email of your Cheer My Run account and a screenshot of the store receipt.
Delete your account
Deleting your account removes your profile, onboarding answers, runs, routes, location history, cheers, favourites and device tokens, and unsubscribes you from our emails. Details of what is kept for legal reasons are in the Privacy Policy.
- First cancel any active subscription in your store account using the steps above. Deleting the account does not stop the billing.
- Open the Cheer My Run app and go to Settings.
- Under Account, tap Delete account and confirm.
Cannot access the app? Email support@cheermyrun.com with the subject “Delete my account” from the address on your account, or include your username and phone number so that we can verify it is you. We confirm by email when it is done, within 30 days at most.
Common questions
I cancelled but I was charged again.
Check the cancellation date in your store account: a cancellation made less than 24 hours before renewal can still let the renewal go through. If the store shows the subscription as cancelled and you were charged after the end date, request a refund from the store and write to us.
I have two charges.
You probably subscribed from two store accounts, or on both an iPhone and an Android phone. Look in both stores’ subscription lists, keep one and cancel the other, then ask the store to refund the duplicate.
I want to keep the app but stop the emails.
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, or turn off Email updates in Settings → Notifications. You keep everything else.
Does cancelling delete my races and cheers?
No. Cancelling only stops billing. Your history stays in your account on the free plan.
I subscribed with a promo code. What happens after the promo period?
The subscription renews at the standard price shown in the store for that plan unless you cancel before the promo period ends. The store sends you a reminder before the first full-price renewal.
Still need help?
Write to support@cheermyrun.com and tell us the email or username of your account and which store you used. A person answers within one business day. You can also send feedback from inside the app under Settings → Contact us.
